10:30 - 11:15 - NYS Ag Protection - Resources and support for CCE staff
Sometimes it’s not what you know-- but who you know. County Cooperative Extension staff are often the first point of contact for landowners and local planners in the agricultural community. Help is available for topics such as the Ag Districts Program, Ag Assessment, Municipal and County Planning grants, the Purchase of Development Rights program, and other programs. Knowing where to find this help can make the job easier. Get to know agents from the NYS Dept of Ag and Markets Ag Protection Unit, and Cornell IRIS staff, who will present where to find resources that are available and readily accessible.

11:15 - Noon - Biocontrol in New York: What do you need? What do your producers need?
Amara Dunn is the new biocontrol specialist with the New York State IPM program. Her responsibilities include all agricultural commodities, and she would like to know how she can support you and your producers in her new position. This session is your opportunity to share and discuss how biological control is currently being used in the NY livestock industry, and what your producers’ needs are in this area.
