With the acquisition of the 34 acre Hobart and William Smith Colleges Fribolin Farm in winter 2014, FLI Food Systems Program Manager Sarah Meyer has developed co-curricular programs that expose college students, faculty, staff, and community members to interdisciplinary growing projects that benefit existing campus initiatives and outcomes; explore food entrepreneurship and product development; and offer local community hunger relief. Organization and coordination of projects created to connect HWS students to the campus farm, local community, and regional food system will be discussed, from a project coordination perspective, and provide insight to the student experience.
